What to use to cut 6x9 speaker holes?

I'm trying to build 2 rear boxes for my friends 6x9 that he has laying around. Just need an idea how to cut these? Or should I just use a jigsaw and freehand? I have the router and jasper jig but I don't think they would do anything. Would I also need to build the speakers but a certain spec? They're 2 alpine type s 6x9

Anyone experiance anything like this?
