What to Look For in An Alarm?

I have begun the search for a car alarm, and I don't know what to look for. I'm curious about a couple of features. Do most alarms have some sort of backup so that if a thief is clever and cuts your battery cable, it still won't turn off?

My budget is 250 or less. What would you recommend in that range?

If you recommend a specific model, tell my why.

I do not have any specific recommendations on models. It is a good idea though to make sure whatever you do choose has a battery backup so when the scenario you mentioned occurs, the alarm will still work properly. If you can afford it a two-way alarm would be nice along with additional sirens and interior piezo pain generators.

Best of luck,

Pzaully

just put a circut breaker in the car.when parked swith it off.if some one tries to steal your car it wont turn on. as far as alarms go if someone wants to smash out your windows and get your system a factory alarm vs a viper alarm makes no difference.a thief with willpower is hard to stop
