What to drive HX2's

Even though there are TONS of "what should I use to drive" threads, I have searched around and can't seem to come up with a concensus.

I scored some HX2's (thanks Shaun) with a sealed box and I am looking for probably dual amps to drive those (more power = loud) and was looking for recommendations.

1. I want pop in these guys, not so much rumble

2. I would pay about $200 per amp

3. I have a clarion head unit that has sub-out RCA's so I probably wouldnt use crossover's

The power is 500 W RMS - 1000 W Max.. any help would be awesome.. thanks gang.

They say Dual 4ohm ... Back in the day, to have some volume, you had to get an amp to drive each sub, but apparently things have changed in the past 5 to 10 years....

They max at 1000watts and from what I am hearing, I can get away with 1 amp to drive both of those subs...

What do you guys think???

so you have $400 to spend on one amp? a crossfire vr1000D would be a nice amp.

or maybe check ikesound for a Viper or Orion 1200
