What to do...

Ok, tried this once and i got some decent feedback, but going to try again now that i know a little bit more about what i can afford...

The ride: 1974 Ford Pinto (hatchback)

stock alternator, stock battery, 4Ga wiring...

ok so here it goes, i got (2) Rockford Fosgate Dual 4 ohm p3's on a kicker KX1200.1...with custom built box tuned to like 39ish hz and about 5 cubes...i only hit a 139.6...not happy...so now i am looking for something bigger

Budget: ~700 cash+ current system...do i sell what i got and start over? or do i add to it? like 2 more p3's and another amp?

I want to start competing in more SPL events...and standing a chance, best with this was 3rd

as far as electrical goes, need to get a red top, think i got 1 found...and i think i am going to run 1/0 ga wire...not going to buy high-performance alt because this motor is original and not staying in forever..not throwing few hundred into it for a year of noise..i was told i could put a smaller pully on it possibly and increase output, thoughts?

What do you guys think i should do? and with your suggestions can u give me a idea on what you think i may hit with it?

Btw: if possible, could u list prices of stuff u suggest? no big deal...but would tell me kinda what your setup suggestoin would cost

one 15inch btl off of lets say a hifonics 2000d. if u can sell your stuff u have ( i would do craigslist keep it local) get audioq 2200d. get your self some 1/0 ga and do the big three new batt. if u want u can try Fi Bl, or even 2 audio 2.5 12's

keep the kicker amp.

have you thought about Alpine type-R.

any reason why stinger or kinetiks? i can get optima from local stereo shop is all....any particular reason to use a diff one?

Yeah i have thought about type-R's...you think they will be louder tahn p3's?

i really doubt the stock alt on a pinto can handle the draw from your current system let alone a bigger one.

i sit at about 13.7...metered it before i ran at last spl event and right after it, sat pretty strong...yeah i get quite a bit of dim...but if i put a dry cell in, i think it will help a bit...i got 1 farid RF cap aswell...but like i said, not putting in 300-400 for a alt when i aint keeping motor

Get rid of the system you have, do the Big 3, run 1/0 wire to amp, a good cheap amp is the audiopipe ap30001d, can be had for 300, get a used fi, dd or something sim off one of the guys here.

someone do me a favor? tell me what the hell the big 3 is...i realize it is something electrical...the battery i am assuming but no one i know has it, only ever heard of it on here...rather new into hardcoring stereos...and new to spl world...so some1 just clarify?

its where u replace 3 wires in ur electrical to 1/0 wire recomended. pos. cable from alt to battery. negative from battery to alt case/engine block and neg. from battery to frame

they are for sale, that a good price? I dont know alot about DC's so any input would be nice...they good? would i be looking good as far as competing in comps? What amps would be good and recommended for them?

dc is a great brand never ran them my self but i am shooting fo 145+ wit my single btl in my camro and i know by ear i am **** close lol but on mic will be able to say for sure think about 2 batteries and i wouldnt go more than 1500 watts with your alt cant keep up
