What to do...

i am looking at aq site atm...what does d1 and d2 stand for?
Dual coil One ohm and Dual coil Two ohm is what that means.

A single D1 sub can be wired to 2ohms or .5ohms

A single D2 sub can be wired to 1ohm or 4ohms

As for suggestions, I would look into two 18's like said above but you would need a considerable amount of space to do so; somewhere between 12-20 cubic feet. Anyway two 18" Fi Q's or SSD's would be in your price range, possibly a pair of DC lvl4 18's as well. For power, keep your current amp and buy another one, run one to each sub.

Please note: building a wall takes a lot of time, materials and a fairly extensive knowledge about enclosure building. If you haven't built a wall before, ask people for help first to make sure you're on the right track. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Dc lvl 4's eh? i like the way that sounds...but with just two, would i build a wall? or have em firing up? and would a kicker 1200 be enough for each 1? cuz if they dual 2, i could have 1 ohm per sub on each amp, uhh...what are prices on dc's? any1 got a site?

and will my stock alternator hold that //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif because i cba on putting another ~200 in the motor that i aint leaving in it..doing big 3 when wire gets here, and will probably throw yellow top in it...can get 1 for like 150ish up here...unless some1 leads me to a better/cheaper battery...

Here is my 2 cents...Is this a daily driver,or a competition car?If it is just an SPL car you could go with either an Audiopipe 3000d (320.00),or a Crunch Ground Pounder 3000d (350.00-400.00). An AQ HDC315 copper,or Aluminum whichever is cheaper (price at http://www.audioque.com).

The big 3 does not come in any kit .It is different for every car. There is a sticky about it in the "electrical portion" of the forum.Along with the 1/0 run to the back battery.

Build a smallish box with external aero's tuned to 40-45 hz.Lovingly called a "fart box"...OR find out your cars resonant frequency, and tune to that.Add another battery or two (or a battery with a new alt) and it should produce a good number that is NOT in the 130's.

What do you guys think? I want to get something ordered....

Also, was looking, what about kicker CVR's? like $75 bucks a piece...what about like 6 of them, with two kicker kx1200s? or even 4 of them on a little bigger amp than what i got? like a audiopipe 3k or something? i just want something loud...that i can do good spl, but still sound dec on music...by music i mean mostly rap anyways...that is raelly all i listen to.

Audiopipe 3000d (319.00),and 18" AQ sub which is on sale right now.(249.00) It is a steal.Great sub.Big slot port box tuned to 38 hz.That combo willl get you loud, and low. Did you figure out the big 3 yet?

I don't know if you said this earlier, but what are your max dimensions you're willing to give up for an enclosure?

We can offer all the advice in the world but it would be for not if the shit didn't fit lol.

Also, do you know the amp rating on your alternator?

For a good estimate I would say you'll need 200-250amps of current to power your amps without too much of a voltage drop. At least two khc2400's or two d3100's would be needed IMO.

So, you're looking between $5-600 for batteries. $4-600 for subs(if you go with two). $3-600 for additional/more powerful amps. All told, you're looking at $1500-2000 for equipment/materials. Now this is all assuming that you buy everything new. Obviously the cost will be cheaper if you go with used equipment.

IMO, i cant afford that, wait....that isnt opinion that is fact....anyway, i actully ordered two more p3's today //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wow.gif.23d729408e9177caa2a0ed6a2ba6588e.gif not sure if that is good or bad, a guy in my town has a limo with 6 15" powerbasses...and he is going to help me build a wall...he has wall in his aswell....and yeah, alt is like 55-60 amp haha and i will give up as much space needed as long as my seat can sit all the way back r0fl
