What to do?

So after a few days of thinking (my only few days, that ive ever been without a system in my car, so depressing)..Im not quite sure what I want to do..I dont have that much money to spend ($1,000) maybe a few hundred more..

Well my main problem is here..I cant afford to power a good system (in my cars electric) If i get a alternator,battery,etc, i wont have enough to get a good amp, sub. Right now I have a 05 accord with stock head unit, everything else stock.. I also have a 15" XXX that im letting a friend use for the time being (figure better than it just sitting in my room).

Anyways i first planned on getting a crossfire vr2000d, but i can not supply enough power to it from my car so thats out of the question..then i considered getting a mtx 1501D (and still am..thats wut it is being currently ran on) but that is underpowering it by aboutt 600 watts.. But even on that amp it doesnt seem to be enough bass for me..I like a shit load of bass, i think the only sufficient system ive heard with enough bass to please me was 4 15"s..but that wont be happening..so do you think i should just get the mtx 1501d, and keep the XXX, or find a different setup? Maybe like 2 12"s?

I really dont know what to do.. im looking for some mad SPL..as long as it doesnt sound like shit im not going to complain (so yes it has to maintain some SQ)..Comments/feedback/etc appreciated.. Thanks..

what vehicle do you have??? you could get away with 1500rms without KILLING your elec, but it'll be rough... get the mtx 1501d and either sell or trade the xxx for 12's... L7's, Type r's... both should wang nicely off of that power

EDIT: YOU NEED TO PORT THEM!!! i dont know if you ran the xxx ported or not, but ported is a must to get the output you want without a lot of power

05 honda accord, yeah i think the mtx would only give at 1k anyways..i rather just get a different amp though, cuz i hate buying used, and they dont make these anymore..

box is ported.. however the subs were in the backseat and facing the front (so they wud maybe sound better in a trunk, and flipped..

well if youve got 1k to spend on an amp, youve got the Usamps MD2 benched at 1800w and youll have money left over for more stuff.

Forget about the HO alt for now. Upgrade the Big 3 first, and get a deep cycle battery. Both of these upgrades should cost no more than $200, and require a couple hours labor. I did these upgrades to run a DLS A6 and DLS A4 (class A/B, 1200 and 400RMS), and I can always maintain a 14.4V+ off my stock alt, unless I am playing a bass CD or sine waves.

With 1500RMS, those 2 should solve your problem, and if you do decide to get more power later, you already have 2 of the 3 main elec upgrades done besides the HO alt.

a couple type r 12s with 1500 rms would be sweet. and shouldnt cost more than 600 or so. then you can do the electrical upgrade mentioned earlier (big 3, red top/yellow top) now youre up to around 800. extra money = teh shit

or if you care a little less about sq, then L7s will get louder, go with those. itll be an extra 100-150 for L7s though.
