What to do with a small car?

I have a toyota corolla: small trunk and cabin. But I want to get some bass. At first I was thinking 1x E12A sealed. but maybe 10" might be better for a smaller environment. If you can think of a better brand/eclosure, i'm all ears too. I just like ED for the price/performance ratio.

I want a good bump inside the cabin, but don't care how it sounds outside. BTW I play mostly techno and house in the car if that helps.

Though the A's get loud and clean, they suffer badly on the low end. Against a W3 in the same box...the A got much louder the W3 went a fair amount deeper.

Want a good 10....get a Incriminator Audio Death Penalty...it'll own you.

That looks like a pounding sub, but it requires a lot of power. If I go 1x E10a or 2x E10o i could probably get decent sound with 600 watts. I like good cheap speakers, like the ED's, but i can t get an expensive amp to power them.

I'd recommend getting at least a 12". Although you may have a smaller trunk, there's a lot of 12's and even 15's out there that can operate in smaller enclosures.

Sub:

~$200 on the eDesign's 12O, or similar price for RE SE12

Amp:

~JBL 600.1, about $190 from ikesound.com, or if you want the factory warranty, sounddomain's got them for $265.

Wiring:

~4 awg kit from walmart... $30-35

That leaves you with at least $100 for box materials.

I have a Mitsubishi Mirage, roughly the same size as a Corolla, and I fit a 5cuft ported box in my trunk (took up whole trunk tho).. I don't see why you can't go with a 15" sealed or 2 12's sealed even..

Personally I would go with either 2 MTX 8000 12's sealed or 2 Kicker CompVr 12's sealed or a Resonant Engineering SE 15" (you could probably go sealed or ported)...
