what to do with a 2000 Avenger??

I may do something similar. Found 2 kinda newer Ford Probes one for 200 other for 1200. Both as is, gon na find out both their beefs and prolly buy the bst one for a system car. One done with a fats engine, and a LOUD system. Mega bass and ear piercving tweets. Hopefully can have whip by xmas, and finished by April fools day.

I would suggest starting out with an intake (iceman likely makes one). Then choose a quite-straight thru design muffler. That should free up the breathing a bit.

You might want to look into upgrading your suspension as wheel with some light wheels and sticky rubber. Also some eibach pro kit springs would be nice. Try http://www.modernperformance.com for some products for your car.

common mistake of ricers.....that's the difference between me and a ricer.....ricers think all you gotta do is put an intake on, a loud exhaust, and some really big gauges and your good to go......if your not runnin a supra,rx7, or another very fast stock car.........then don't even waste your time without doin a motor swap......i have a 1990 crx si....the first thing i did was swap for a b16a. i still haven't gotten to an intake.....still tryin to save for my intercooler....that turbo was a bizatch to buy....were talkin 4g's for some stupid little turbo but **** the car is fast currently i am runnin my quarters in 13.6.......tryin to drop to the 12 sec mark

Build a ride for yourself, and no one else - not what others tell you to do. If you try and keep up with the current trends, Ill tell you right now, they wont be in style next year, so build it to your tastes and dont get caught up in the custom scene.

1. call up and get full coverage insurance on the car (the premium)

2. drive car to local lake/pond; park

3. while running, put brick on accelerator

4. put into drive, jump out and sploosh!! into the lake

5. collect insurance and buy a different car
LoL good idea, i never throught that avengers were the best cars to buy, especially with the kind of money you have...

By the way, i wouldn't buy Ford Probes, even though they look nice. I looked into getting one and i found out that they have about the worst maintanance record known to man. Everything falls apart on those things and you end up spending more money on repairs than you did on the car. Just thought you would like to know.
