Dude, this is what you do. Take my advice. This works best on Friday, you'll understand why in a minute.
Take her out to dinner, and really pay attention to her when she rambles on endlessly. Olive Garden is awesome for a first date. During dinner, tell her you'd expect her to be wearing more jewelry. When she asks why, tell her she's got class, and classy ladies wear nice jewelry.
After dinner, casually stroll by a jewelry store. Bring your check book. Take her inside, and just browse for a few minutes. Find a bracelet, a really nice one, for about 800 bucks or so. Ask her if she likes it, and have her try it on. You'll know if she really likes it. If she does, ask the guy if he'll take a check. Tell him he can hold the jewelry til Monday, when the check clears.
Monday morning, call the jewelry store, and cancel the bracelet. Dont forget to thank the jeweler for the weekend of boning you just got.
