Buying a new compact computer

I ordered this today...I'm sure if I shopped around I probally could've saved $100 or two...I did a little research...and this looked like a good deal....since I'm legally blind I can't use the cell phones because the screen is too small and too hard for me to see and navigate....this one has the larger battery pack...so upto 5.5 hours of run time....I already have a USB standalone external DVD drive for it if I need it...This looks pretty neat...It cost me right at $450 shipped .....any opinions?

With all the money you have, I would've gotten a macbook air. Acer is usually considered the Pyle of computers but that computer doesnt look half bad. Let us know how you like it. What kind of computer do you have right now?

i have a Acer home computer...a HP laptop...I had HP and Compac before...in home computers after my big HP about $1500 went down that was loaded with everything I bought this Acer at Office Depot...pretty much basic and have had no problems so far...It was $400 at the time...

they have cheaper models with less features...this is the best one

yeah...pretty much...it was right at $400 plus tax about $30 I went a head and paid for overnight. shipping it will be here Tuesday...I guess they can't ship till Monday...shipping was $21 then I saw I could've had it sent to a store and saved $20...lol

I run an aspire 50/50 and i like mine. I didnt think it would play games for shit but some of them it runs really good. My battery only lasts about 40 minutes thats the only ***** about it. Upgraded to 4g memory and it runs like a champ.

i also have a usb internet wireless card through alltel...so one of the main reasons i wanted this ...my HP laptop is too big and bulky to be considered portable...it has the 17" screen...

too big...I wanted something small as stated I tried one of the computer phones from Alltel it was too small...to hard to navigate...I think I'll be able to work this....this is about the size of the portable DVD players....
