OK,

so i am starting to get really pissed off. I sent money, $350 to be exact to a user named drmemphis, i also have his e-mail and his cell phone number. I sent the money Thursday, May 6th. He told me he had to work 12 hour shifts friday and saturday and that it would be shipped on monday the 10th. That was perfectly fine with me. I received an e-mail from him on monday the 10th stating that my products were sent out via usps and should arrive by that friday (the 14th). it is May 25th and i have received NOTHING. I have e-mailed him twice and calld him numerous times. I NEED YOUR GUYS' HELP...what do i do, i WILL seek legal action if needed. thanks for ACTUAL suggestions... not "that *****" or "beat his ass" type stuff. Thank you

I filed a report with the IFCC, do a search on google for it.

Also, did you send a money order? I used paypal for a little of the payment and I contacted VISA about the payment to paypal and said I never got my stuff so they are doing an investigation.

I also posted on the net about me getting scammed, looked for help etc like you are doing and I got my money back within a few days.

The police, go file a report. Try using a credit card next time if possible, gotta love being able to reverse the charges. If you have his home address + name etc you can always hire a lawyer and go to small-claims court.

i'm going through it right now with electronicsdeals do a search and you will see my loss....i have a lawyer and working with the mail system so he committed mail fraud...its a federal offense its only a matter of time................I CAN'T STAND ****ING THIEVES

I used paypal (visa)!!! So, what steps can i take? I'll search for that on google boolean, thanks. What do i need to do for this paypal wise, or credit card wise? thank you. peace

If it has been less than 30 days, just as 2dmnloud said you can call paypal or just go online and file a fraud report.

I believe sometimes they just give you the money back //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

If it has been over 30 days, file a report anyways, it won't get you your money back then get on the phone, call that 1-800 number for your VISA card. Tell them what is going on, how you bought somethign with the card and never got it. Tell them the date etc and they will do their best to reverse the charge.

Usually Visa will reverse the charge instantly, but if it has been a while, they will probably have to go through an investigation. Could take over 30 days, but better than nothing.

First thing though, go file with paypal right now. Just log in and you should be able to find the fraud thing.

thank you guys, i filed a complaint with the IFCC. Beware Douglas Ringold, aka drmemphis on this site. Paypal is closed, might tryi to all visa if they are open 24/7 any idea on a 1-800 number? thanks

Look on the back of your card. My Visa is from my bank, Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce so I call the number they wrote on the back of the credit card.

If it has been less than 30 days I would try to contact paypal first because you might get legal hastles if you don't.

Keep in mind that Visa paid Paypal so if you reverse the charges paypal will be out the money. So I think you should give paypal a chance to give you the money on their own.

If paypal fails to give you your money, then you should call Visa because Pay Pal failed to provide you with the service they promissed.

If you file with Visa before contacting Pay pay you haven't excercised all of your options so you might find trouble.

Good luck,

Craig G

Ok, i will contact paypal by phone because i'd like to know i'm actually talking to a real person and get feeback on what they can do immediately. Also, i don't want to do the internet form b/c it says the seller can view my complaint comments. So, i will call them during operatin hours tomorrow. thanks for help guys. peace

I'm kinda in the same boat right now. I mailed the MO (my first mistake) but it does make him guilty of mail fraud as mentioned above. I have no compunction about calling the postmaster and the FBI if needed. I WILL get my amp or my money back. At this point it is more on principle than on money, though I could use the $300 to get another of the amps that this dick was supposed to be selling me.

On the credit card, I would call the CC company. NOT call paypal, paypal will go through things their own way and with the CC you will credited right away (that is why the CC charges all these fees for internet transactions and why paypal wants you to do everything through them to avoid all the fees !! ). With money orders, you can cancel the payment anytime. Call whomever issued it and cancel just like you would a check (know someone that sold a plasma tv and got scammed by them reversing the money order, OUCH !! ).

dont know if it will help at this moment,

but you should eb able to call paypal or visa and cancel that transaction, and also file legal suit, he ripped you off u know. he didn't even give you a trackin number or anything like that? even usps have them for like 60cents more

I went thru the same type of crap. He was working odd hours & all that crap. I was smart enough to get alot of info on him. I had pics, website, parents number, pictures of his girl, address, email addies & the forums he was in. I was ready to plan a major attack.

He sent my stuff after lots of nagging & emailing like crazy. It also helped that I had friends in his city. After all was done I got what I asked for.
