try unistalling the keyboard drivers then reinstall them or use the built in recovery software

Sony Vaio LAPTOP.


I just tried restarting it and it did that fine. It didnt fix anything so I tried shutting it down completely, and then it wouldn't come back on right away. Had to wait a few minutes, now it turned back on fine, but keyboard still messed up.

I dont think a key is stuck.

laptops are what I was talking about. The keyboards are held in with 3-4 screws and there is a ribbon cable under them you disconnect. Its very simple to do.

Make sure the function button isn't stuck held down or anything like that.

oh yeah.. that's gonna help. I give him 2 - 3hrs before he figures out it's a num/function symbol/function lock
