What the hell did i do to my amp???

Ok i blew a fuse after trying to change my amps, the new one i got i could not get to work so i went back to my original (orion x1001) when i hook up the amp my subwoofer pops out, makes this low humming noise. WHen i disconnected the speaker i got shocked from the speaker outputs!! The outputs sparked when i disconnected the speaker wire from the amp. So needless to say my amp is now puting out a charge instead of a signal, is this thing a gonner?

that sounds like a problem with your rca jacks or ground.

check ground first...... if you dont have a good ground it will cause some engine noise b/c the amp will ground itself thru the subs or rca's... if your ground is good then check the rca's... unplug them and see if the noise stops, if so the problem is either in your head or rca wires, and because u get shocked doesn't mean you amp is putting out a charge like your saying... its putting out the watts it takes for a speaker to produce sound which WILL shock ya //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif
