OK, my amp is a Hifonics BX1000D, it was hooked up to a 12" Volfenhag. Anyways i was driving down the road, and for the first time, my protect light went on (and i wasn't even playing it the loudest)... so initially i wasn't too worried cuz it was a really hot day, and i thought it just mightve got too heated. But then later the light went off, but my sub wouldn't play AT ALL. I tried all my settings on the headunit and the amp and the remote, but nothing. I mean the power light was on, and the protect light was off. I tried to unplug and replug every wire back in but that didn't work. So... yah... the amp says its working fine... but my sub wont move at all... i mean i dont think its blown cuz the cone aint moving at all. So whats wrong? maybe a fuse? maybe its blown?

Im concerned because i just got a 15" SX and i was planning on hooking this amp up to it... but i dont wanna get it all cherry and then the amp not work. So whatever this problem is... is it fixable?

You mean you cannot physically move the cone back and forth? Or you are just saying that everything is on, music playing, and the sub is not moving? Your wording is confusing. Why get cocky with people trying to help you out? I was just trying to figure out what you ment by the sub is not moving.

well u was kinda bein a smartass to em in your fist post //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif....... but anyways if you amp isnt in protection and the sub is wired to the amp and the rca's arent the problem.... hook another speaker to the amp and see if it works... if so its ur sub

i can move the sub back and forth but when the music is playing everything works fine, but the sub wont play. and i want to just make my box and put the sx in, but i dont wanna hook it all up and realize that the amp is screwed and then wait even longer...

ill try that, to hook up another speaker... hopefully it is a blown sub

grab your dmm and test your coils to see if theyre reading the correct impedance
yah i really dont know wtf u just said.
