What the heck is wrong???

For some reason I'm not getting any power to either of my amps and I really have no idea why...

I have two 4 gauge wires run from the battery. One goes directly into a monoblock amp, and one goes into a distro block which then goes to a 4-channel amp via 8 gauge wire. The mono amp is grounded by 4 gauge and the 4-channel amp is grounded with 8 gauge. I know for a fact both wires are getting power because I very very quickly brushed them both against bare metal on the car and got major sparks as a last ditch effort to see if I was even getting power from the battery. Neither of the fuses blew, they are definately lives wires.

I have been scratching my head for forever and can't figure out why my amps aren't getting power.

My guess is it's got something to do with the remote wire since I really don't know how I could have done something wrong with the power wires. Any ideas?

So how can I check my remote wire? Check my fuse box or something... I don't even know what I'm looking for.

The remote wire was already run from a previous installation done by Best Buy. I removed the RCAs and 8 gauge power wires but never removed the remote wire. Should I check my fuses or is it more likely that it just got disconnected somehow?

The remote wire runs to the igintion right? I took a quick look around and just saw it disappear into the dash.

the remote wire is a wire ran from the head unit that turns the amps on if you don't have three wires going to the power connector side of the amp, you don't have the remote wire plugged in.

rofl I just took a quick look in the dash and tugged slightly on the remote wire and the end popped right out of the little hole it go stuck in somehow...it's definately just dangling there not connected to a **** thing

lmao yep that worked, I'm an idiot.

Thanks for anybody who read this thread though lol

If you're interested I'm really close to the carputer being done...especially now that that pain in the *** is done.
