I understand that but he does not , probably not a good idea to tell him to go run his amp under the stable rating if he doesn't even know what imp rise is. .5 might be ok but it still could not

You have a 2-channel amp? And each channel wants a 1ohm load? In that case you probably want to wire like this, once for each channel:

Okay, If you want to run the Safest way possible:

You need 4 Hfi12S4 subs.

They are Single 4 Ohm coils.

Wire all of the coils in parrallel:
