i wondering if anyone could tell me what hrz test tone i should get for my Avalanche 15 to set my gains. Jl site says 50hrz is good for a sub amp. but i dont have my sub crossed over that high.
just temporarily cross it over higher if you can, and use a 50 hz test tone available at realmofexcursion.com. Remember the tone has to be 0db to work right, any -3db or -6 db tones will be too quiet, causing you to adjust your gain too high. I suppose you could use a 35hz tone just as easy though.
