No shit man. Is there any way we can get an estimated cost report for each finish? I would love to try the company out, but if we are going to be paying much extra for asthetics then forget it. I don't buy for looks, I buy for functionality.

agreed...and I personally dont have the room for an inverted mount setup. So asthetics would only be useful for taking out of the box pictures.

i'd leave it as is, but if you must give it a finish probably silver.

I highly, highly doubt the difference between any finish (other than say carbon fiber or gold/copper/other plating) and no finish will be greater than $10. It will likely be on the order of $3 or less. I sent an email asking about the exact differences so I should hear back within the next 2 days. The joys of china…

Powdercoat the recessed areas black, leave the raised areas with a machined finish or polish them.

It *costs* us $4 extra for black chrome, $1 extra for black powdercoat, $3 extra for carbon fiber look-alike finish.

They can also do diamond cut -- well anything rly...

i like the black gloss finish idea. But then a kinda rough black or different color in the recesses. like what some one already said. What are the specs?

They aren't final yet. I just happened across this basket in the search for a basket that’s suitable for the 6.5" omega. It seems to be about the perfect basket for all but the highest end subwoofer but we will obviously need a custom basket job for that one. Some sort of modular basket where we can adjust the height between the mounting flange and the spider landing, as well as between the spider landing and the base of the frame quickly so we can keep pushing the limits without racking up massive tooling costs in the long run...
