What Subs?

Hi I own a 97 Honda Accord EX and i previoulsy had a stereo in there but it wasn't enough so I ordered a custom box and everything so it mounts flat across my trunk. It will house 3 12's. I have a Sony Mobile ES XM-7557 5 Channel Amp right now but I will probably sell that and stick with one 4 Channel Amp and a Mono Amp. What kind of subs should I get. My friend has similar setup but he is running 3 JL w6 12's and I want to beat that. Also what amps are good. I didn't mind the Mobile ES so any suggestions would be awesome.

I am looking for more SPL than SQ. His amp is an Soundstream 505. Hm..i don't want to get JLs, I want sumthing different. I was thinkin of three Rockford Power Series 12s. But anything other than JL just cause hes already got them.

if you got the w7's he would definitely know you beat him because it is the same company but be ready to paya grip for w7's like 550$ a sub...

Oh it will be fine if we argue. My rule around here is can't get sumthin for the same brand sumone else has. I don't care if he admits if i beat him or not. I just want a system thats equal or better.

so you want 3 12" subwoofers and you have how much to spend?? We cant really tell you what to get unless we know what you want to spend.

The Adire Audio Shiva is a good sub but I dont know if it would top the JL in SPL. Now for around $350 a piece you can get the Brahma and those subs are most def louder then the W6 and with better SQ.

[EDIT]How deep is this box? You will want to check mounting depth on the subs before you buy them, other wise you got subs that wont fit...

I am not sure about the mounting depth, they aren't brand new, they are 3 months old and it was custom to fit da accord. Ironically, the guy that had it before me was running guess wat.....3 JL 12s W6s. Haha....and dats y i can't get JLs. Geez, i am from a small town in Canada, I only know like conventional brands like JL, Rockford, Clarion, Alpine....etc. Never even heard of Adire Audio Shiva or Brahma, but if they are good i still get them. I have about $450 to spend on each sub so ya..........
