What subs would you do in......

OK here is the deal. There is 2.6 cu. ft. of air to work with but has only 6 in. mounting depth max. What would you do on sub/s? How many? 10's? 12's?

Just wanting a mass idea. I will be putting at least 500 watts per sub.

if you go with 2 subs they would have to be sealed. i say maybe look into some Incriminator LI's. i hear they have shallow mounting depth.

Two ported 10's. What is limiting the mounting depth? Can you make a double baffle to extend the depth a bit?

Two 10" W6v2's would be nice

I wish that I could get more dept but the rear wall and the seat is limiting it. I found some subs that are less than .75 cu for 10's and .85 cu for 12's. They have a slim mount but one hell of a magnet 200oz at 4.75 for a 12 and the power is 1000 watts.

What is your take on the Kole? I like the size and power plus a massive magnet. Would they out perform ORION C10D2? I am looking at puting a DirectedAudio 1500D or the Directed 2400D to them.

screw the Kole, I'm almost positive it won't take 1kw. Diamond are notorious for sounding well and getting loud. Can't go wrong with them. Also people are talking about the new TREO 8" on termpro. .3ft^3 four of those would surely bang. They're saying it'll have better lows than the TREO 10" I believe. I have two TC 2+ 8"s and can say they can definetly get low. they'll work ported in that space and spank hard also. maybe check out the RL-i 8"s the new ones should be ready in a couple months I believe at the most. So maybe you could run a couple cheesy 8"s til then and in the meantime perfect a box design that provides you with the sound your looking to achieve. Is 6" considering for 3/4 mdf and space for a pole vent to work?

id just get two nice 10's (idq's, rli's, and the likes) or 4 eights.

the RE RE 8's have been shown to do well, RLI 8's would be outrageous (but are more expensive and have more mounting depth), but thats what id do.

The front plate that I will be using is about 51" long and 15" tall. I may try to play with the plate and see how many I can cramm in the space. I wounder how loud 8 8's would get in my truck?
