what subs to use ????

i need some help....i have a 1997 chevy extended cab...at this point i have installed a set of infinty kappa series comp. up front with a set of infinity kappa series 4x6 coaxial plates in the rear. i'm driving the plates and comp. with a jl audio 300-4 and they sound great...all is running through a alpine 9811 head unit...now comes my question????? i would like to install some kick *** subs for good boom without loosing imaging or sound quality. should i go with 2 10's or 2 12's...downfire or outfire????? please help...all this system lacks is good subs.....thanks Ben

well, tell us your price range, home much room you're willing to use, and if you want sq(sound quality), spl (loudness) or sql (a combination)

i want a little of both....cost should be kept in reason but not the cheap way out, i have no problem spending money for good sound....and i am willing to move the rear seat up some to fit the box as needed.....

well i'm going to recommend a few options.....

stereo integrity - magnum d2's http://www.stereointegrity.com about $300 a piece .... would run well w/ 600-1000 watts rms

resonant engineering - xxx 12's http://www.respl.com a little more expensive than the d2......like anywhere from 1400-2000 watts rms

elemental designs - a series 12's http://www.edesignaudio.com about a little under 300 for a 12......do well w/ about 1000 watts rms

adire audio - brahma 12's http://www.adireaudio.com about same price as xxx...very similar build too.....should handle about the same power
