What Subs to Get?

I am deciding between the Orion P Series or the Rockford p3's. Looking at the specs they look to be the same except the Orion have a better Xmax 17 to 12 mm. I can also ge the Orion's for $75 cheaper. I just wanted to hear some opinions on if the P3's are that much better because based on the specs they appear to be in the same class. I just wanted some opinions from people who have heard these subs.

I have heard RF's entire line of punch series subs, and quite frankly, was not impressed with any of them. But I cant give you my opinion on the orions because i've never heard them.

p3's are the ONLY RF punch series that are actually a cast basket driver. don't know much about the other specs. my .02 good luck

If they were the same price I would still choose orion. And since theyre 75 bucks cheaper, Orion hands down. They appear to be similar in stats, but excursion is greater and they are more efficient. And visually, it appears to be a higher quality subwoofer. Plus, you will have subs that are quite unique compared to all the kids with RF.

havent heard the orion subs but i suspect they will be better than the P series hemerroided monkey fart entry level subs

Hmm... Paper cone on the P-Series? Not sure I would consider that one until I heard them first hand. Just me perhaps.
