What Subs Should I Get... ?

I have a and amp that produces between 1000 and 1500 watts @2ohms.

MTX 81000D

I am Looking for some subwoofers that will Be LOUD and sound great. I like extremely tight bass that is deep.

I had three X1244 subs in a sealed box. It was deep and loud but didnt sound good.

Space is not a problem. The box took up the entire cargo space of my 96' Explorer.

I am getting a 2001-2002 Tahoe.

I am looking to spend around $800-$1000 for the Subs alone

What are the best Sub(s) that I should get for my new car?

How about 4 RE SE 12s. I think you can get them for about $200 each. Or you could get 2 or 3 12" or 15" Brahmas. 3 of them would be over $1000, but not by much. You might also want a new amp. Nothing wrong with the 8100D, but it wouldn't push those subs to the limit. I saw a bunch of refurbished D2s on ebay for $225 with a 1 year warranty. A D2 will give you 2300+ watts at 1 ohm. Good luck.

look at some JL W7's. Orion HCCA's wouldnt be too shabby either.

Get 4 JL 12W3v2 in a huge sealed box since you amp doesn't have a subsonic filter...... they will pound and have good SQ also....

3 JL 15W3 or 2 JL 18w3... SPL

2 or 3 Adire audio shivas Great SQL
