What subs for my Tahoe

I am doing a Tahoe build. I want it to be loud but still have sq. I don't care about wattage I will buy an amp(s) that fits. I have a total of 11 cubes (I prefer sealed) to work with and the budget is under $1000 for the subs. I get mtx's at wholesale so that is a plus. I have a pair of FI SSd's 12's in my Infiniti and I love them (thanks Scott). I also have 4 ed 8's out of my powestroke. that I loved as well. I have tried a few different setups, but I have never had 15's or 18's. Are they "worth it" What do you all recommend. Thank you!

Well first off you definatley need to go ported. And I woulkd do 2 15" RE SX's. They sound good and get loud too.

for that airspace and preffering sealed the Mach 5 IXL 15" would be a pretty good recomendation. I think you could also do IA mag 4 x 12" on a AQ 2200 "wang with SQ"

Thank you for all of the suggestions. How "good" are the fi's for sql? I dont want to sacrifice too much sql for spl. How much wattage do the fi's want. I can go ported but I have yet to build a ported setup that I liked.

Q's would be a good choice for loud and sounding good too. I'd go with a couple 18" Q's ported.

Thank you to all. I have decided to go with 2 18's. Now I just need to narrow it down to these 4 choices "only"; fi q, ed 19ov2, mach 5 ixl, or mj18. I am down to less than 5 cubes each.

If money is not an issue, I'd go Fi Q 18 no BP needed.

I'd kick out the ED right away.

MJ's are pretty cheap and decent, but won't maximize the amp (2 ohm).

Mach 5 ixl sort of have the same issue (d2).

I say fi q 18 d1 (x2) hands down.

Alright the 2 choices are the q and the mj18. the mj is half the price so I can pay for more amp to make up for the ohm's. The mj18 is rated at 700 versus the q at 1000 so I need 1400 vs 2000 watts, which will be a big difference in the amp I choose as well. What is the better "bet". I will spend the money if it is worth it but I don't want to "redo" this system. Also what will sound better with less than 5 cubes?
