what subs for 65(SPL)/35(SQ)? (choose from list)

Powered by the following amp:

250w @ 4ohms

500w @ 2ohms

1000w @ 1ohm

+ 20% for all rating (power is for 12.5V)

It's a long list but please bear with me. Could you state your three choices?

(number denotes amount of subs that I can afford)

2 X shiva mark 3 (12" 8ohm DVC)

2 X BPD 1202 (12" 4ohm DVC)

1 X tempest (15")

1 X HCCA 12D

1 X XTRpro 12"

4 X Orion CS 12"

2 X PPI C2 12" / 15" (similar prices for the two sizes)

1 X 12" L5

1 X 10" L7 (black cone)

1 X RFR3110 (power 10")

1 X RFD2115 (punch 15")

1 X stroker 12' (second hand, bad condition)

2 X AW1251Q (audiobahn 12")

1 X infinity kappa perfect 12.1

1 X Diamond CM3 12D2

1 X eclipse 88120 DVC ( 12" titanium, i think)

1 X 12" polk momo ( don't like the way it looks though)

1 X JL 12W6

1 X 12" Treo TS 12.4

it's no use telling me about RE, ED, etc, etc, cause I wish I could have that many options, but there are no dealers in Korea. The subs in the list are the only ones that I can find here that is within my budget. I just want to see what would be good enough to give me satisfying SQ with scary SPL. Naturally, they will fit in a ported box (if I ever get new stuff, that is)

p.s. anyone heard of the a/d/s 310px? It's double the price of focal's most expensive subwoofer. Haven't seen it in real life, but in the pic, it looks awesome.

hcca, L7 / L5....havent used some of those on the list so I'm not gonna recommend them...

if you got 1 audiobahn 12 and slapped it into a big ported box and run it at 1 ohm it would satisfy what you are looking for. ive only heard about 3 subs on that list and thats the only one that is 65/35 SPL/SQ so i say that.

i havent heard either but im almost sure it would get louder than a shiva or a tempest...those are both SQ subs and treo is usually known for SPL.

louder than the HCCA? *shrugs*

the treo ts handles 150w RMS..

I'm about to sell my teasured possessions to get the crossfire BMF 1000D second hand really cheap. I think I'd need a sub that can use the BMF's power. Oh, and for the price of 1 TS, I could get 2 shiva. Now, I know shiva is an SQ sub, but 2 of them in a ported box, it's bound to get loud...no?

i can eliminate a couple from your list. infinity kappa perfect and polk momo are more sq from the installs ive heard. they will get loud, but not 65/35 loud. plus, neither are worth the $$$ imo. i have a ported rfr3112 and it definitely gets loud and i got it at a superdiscounted price. if you can find one for cheap somewhere, i'd say go for it. havent heard any other subs. hope that helps a bit.

Shiva yes, Tempest...would be close...
