I have a Memphis st1000d amp, and two 12" rockford he2 dual voice coil subs. I will be running the subs at 2 ohms. I listen "mostly" to rock (ac/dc, saga, queensryche, ect.) but do enjoy some electronic music (delerium, enigma, ect.) I have enough room for a 6 cubic foot box. I do like it when bass notes vibrate your molars, but, I want the bass drum to kick me in the back of the head as well. It will be going into a dodge dakota extended cab truck, the sub box will be in the bed with a cut out and accordian boot to seal.(don't worry, I have a taneau cover) What box type/size would you recammend.

Ok, a sealed box, but how many cubes per sub? Do I need any insulation in the box? If so how much? Do I need to keep the subs separate in the box, meaning, do I need a partition in the box.

One more thing, can a sub in a sealed box handle more power than in a ported box??

I have 5 of the 15" versions in 16^3, 32Hz. They kick the **** out of anything.

OK, so there are better out there, but they do their justice.

BOT, I'd shoot for 4-5cubes, 35Hz 50+ sq.in. of port.
