What size fuse?

Hello- i have a quick, hopefully easy question for you all- what size main system fuse or circut breaker should i get (underhood) i will be funning 4 hifonics bx1500's and one zx6400- each 1500 has 2 60 amp fuses, and the zx has a single 60 amp- so total is 540 amps- what size fuse should i run? thanks for your time

You would want to run 0awg wire for that, so fuse around 300A. Since all of your amps have thier own fuses, you will be fusing to protect the wire.

Actually, fuse for the max of the wire. I think 0awg is 350A, so fuse for that.

wait what kind of wire you running back? You'll probably end up with two runs of 1/0 and a 250 amp fuse (or breaker) on each wire.

Id say multiple runs of 1/0 gauge with 200-250a fuses on each run. Perferably one to each amp.

I would run one 1/0 for each pair of hifonics amps, and then use a distribution block to split it to 4 guage. You could probably just run some 8 guage for that 6400, or use 4 gauage if you wanted too

i am planning on 2 runs of 0/1 wire and one run of 4 thanks guys, youve helped alot
