What size fuse do I use to connect my power to my car battery?

I keep on getting conflicting advice so I thought I ask.

I have 2 amps one takes 2x70 amp fuses and the other takes 2x25 amp fuses. I am currently running 4 gauge wire but will upgrade to 0 gauge.

So do I add up the fuses and use a 200 amp fuse?

CCA or OFC wire? I'm assuming you're running CCA. CCA 4 gauge should be fused with a 100 amp fuse. Fuse to the wire, not the load.

See that's what I am saying. Some say to the wire some say to the load. Once I switch to 0 gauge what size do I use?

Same thing, fuse to the wire. Depending on the CCA wire, fuse to 200 or 250. 0 gauge OFC will be ok to fuse at 300.

At the distribution block do I use a 60 amp fuse and a 150 amp fuse?

use two different fuses for the two wires coming off of it.

100a for the 2x70a and 50a for the 2x25a

Just don't fuse more than that run of wire can handle.

You could, but there would be less protection for the wire. Personally, I would not.

you could use a 200a on the 2x70a if you wanted to. It's not recommended but it's your setup. The fusing on the amp protects the amp. It does nothing for the wire that supplies it the power. That's why you fuse for the wire so if it pulls too much current through it, it'll pop the fuse instead of popping a fire in your car.

If you're using 4 gauge OFC, use a 150a fuse

if it's CCA, 100a fuse
