Hey guys I'm planning on buying a BMW Z4 roadster next week and want to upgradr the sound sytem some. I'm wondering what size box and subs I could fit in this car. I'll give some demensions from someone who measured their car and in the meantime I'll see if I can find the official dimensions from BMW. Thanks

Here is a quote from the guy who measured it...

I have just measured it: 78cm long, 45cm deep and 32 cm high, height can be expanded but not by much... I would say 40cm high would be a big struggle.

So if I wanted to take advantage of all of that space with amp + box what size subs would you put in it? I'm not sure what size box certain size subs would need for best sound. Appreciate the help.

in 2.9 you have a few options. Depending on your budget you could look at single sub setups to conserve a bit of space or you could do like 2 10" ported with areo ports. It really would depend on budget and what type of output your looking for.

Personally I would look at a maybe a single 12" ported or even a set of SA8s ported.

I would just start with what you have and see what your think of that. If you want louder or more SQ then go from there. No since in throwing money down the drain when you can prevent it.

Was just looking at the Kicker zx300.1. Perfect match for that sub? I don't mind spending a little extra on an amp if it will give me better quality so if anyone know of a better choice let me know.

since your in canada i would call mach 5 audio, its called the mach 5 ixl 10, it loves small boxes. .4 cube ft ported, and is one one the nices sounding subs you will ever hear. 3 inch coil, it would **** on any kicker out there.

he makes one specifically for sealed and one specifically for ported
