What settings to I boost my amp to?

My Amp: AQ1200D (AQ1200D Amplifier)

You know how there is settings on the side of the amp where you put a screw driver in and depending which way you turn it will either increase or decrease the bass. How do I know how much to boost things so I can get my **** to hit hard, without blowing my sub up.

use a dmm set your freq to 80 and bass boost off or flat.there are stickies for this.

I looked at that thread, the links in there don't make sense to me. I'll just have my friend setup my sub and amp correctly for hopefully a small price

I'm scared of setting some setting wrong and blowing up my sub. I just dropped 3 hundred on this b*****

There's a reason you didn't go to him first. Don't go to him now or I have this funny feeling you're going to smell some smoke soon.
