Well although i agree with most of your post, in order for them to continue with certain lines they had to be changed unless they wanted to pay royalty to Adira for thier trademarked XBL2 design.
As for the MX/W7 reference, everyone i know when they buy a system looks at numbers rather then the look of the sub.

Take the XBL tooling out of the same motor and make a few changes to the coil. Vuala. If RE had a nearly stable dealer network before all of this happened I wouldnt have been irritated in the least because I would support the closest dealer to me. as far as the MX/w7 reference...you and your friends may. But 99% of high schoolers and college students with parent's check book or under educated on what any numbers mean will make a purchase bassed on past experences with other's sytems and looks.

X2 last year when i was a senior i had my 15" ava. no one ever heard of it before but when they heard mine i had people asking all about it and prasing the sub like God.

chances are, there was already development on the new setups before the company was introuble, therefore as a business deal US amps fronted money to the smaller company with an intent to buy them out. Being in business myself, the deals dont happen over night, and it makes alot of sense

Flakko, Not sure why you decided to throw off the gloves... but I do find it amusing. As you decided to bring up a topic that occured while I was still at RE and commented on me as well... I feel I must put in at least 2 of my bankrupt cents.

Bankruptcy proceedings are public. Please show me them. Please show me anything that realtes to RE not making money. Please show me anything other than what someone tells you to post on a forum. Simply put, this was not the case. Far from it. RE was doing better than it ever had when I decided to leave. My choice was not motivated by any problems or issues with the products or sales.

I sold my half of RE to my business partner. What he decided to do with it after the company was his, is his business. I have plenty of paperwork that indicates this... lawyer speak aside, it states who sold what to who... and it had nothing to do with you or your "close ties". So what you are telling me, is that the other half of RE decided to purchase a "bankrupt" company? What is the sense to that? Not how things went down at all.

Please show me the paperwork indicating a bankruptcy, a failing company, or anything substantiating your claims. Sellout? Whatever.... that is an opinion. But you cant lie about the facts. So please show them.

Not taking sides, but I would like to see proof of a failing company as well. Because if what was just said is true (im not doubting it isnt) then RE is just a total sell out and that is worse than what the original post said was going on.

you're contridicting yourself with that statement... People did care that you decided to quit your job, if they didnt there wouldnt be a bunch up unhappy people *****ing about price hikes. Now I am happy that RE has a better chance of getting somewhere, I've had nothing but great experiance with all the RE products ive owned/used/came in contact with and definately wish them the best.

The thing I dont like is how people are taking the price hikes out on RE when it was out of their control. People can go from idol worship to utter hate at the snap of a finger...
