you're contridicting yourself with that statement... People did care that you decided to quit your job, if they didnt there wouldnt be a bunch up unhappy people *****ing about price hikes. Now I am happy that RE has a better chance of getting somewhere, I've had nothing but great experiance with all the RE products ive owned/used/came in contact with and definately wish them the best.
The thing I dont like is how people are taking the price hikes out on RE when it was out of their control. People can go from idol worship to utter hate at the snap of a finger...

hes not really contridicting himself........hes explaining that for whatever reason his choice to change gears (out of first and into second in my opinion) was made so insanely public that its retarded. He made a business choice that most likely benefits his lifestyle, or the passion he has. You quit a job, noone cares. He quits a job, its WWIII. He made a choice that can take him farther than what RE could have. Like I said, from first gear to second gear. He got his name noticed (not that it wasnt before) by being wit RE, got his rep REAL good, and shifted into second......which is a longer gear and well................can take him that much farther in the long run than his last.

And, IMO, the reason that RE sold more woofers in the past 2 months than they did in two years is most likely because RE is focusing on DEALERS now. I'm going to assume that in order for a dealer to either become a dealer or place an order, that a certain quantity would have to be purchased, thus "increasing" sales

Well all I gotta say is, no matter how much everyone might not like it, or ***** about it, its not gonna change... Hate to tell you, they are not gonna read this one thread and change there mind just for a couple internet people to be happy. /story.

Flakko, Not sure why you decided to throw off the gloves... but I do find it amusing. As you decided to bring up a topic that occured while I was still at RE and commented on me as well... I feel I must put in at least 2 of my bankrupt cents.Bankruptcy proceedings are public. Please show me them. Please show me anything that realtes to RE not making money. Please show me anything other than what someone tells you to post on a forum. Simply put, this was not the case. Far from it. RE was doing better than it ever had when I decided to leave. My choice was not motivated by any problems or issues with the products or sales.

I sold my half of RE to my business partner. What he decided to do with it after the company was his, is his business. I have plenty of paperwork that indicates this... lawyer speak aside, it states who sold what to who... and it had nothing to do with you or your "close ties". So what you are telling me, is that the other half of RE decided to purchase a "bankrupt" company? What is the sense to that? Not how things went down at all.

Please show me the paperwork indicating a bankruptcy, a failing company, or anything substantiating your claims. Sellout? Whatever.... that is an opinion. But you cant lie about the facts. So please show them.

Davidfre21... Nothing happened in the first place. I decided to sell my half of a company and move on. No one cares if you quit a job somewhere and move to a new one. Pretty much what I did. Not saying that at all actually.

I'll give you an example. Say GM says sales are up 10%. While that may be true for them, the dealers are sitting on lots jam packed full of unsold cars.

Not to say this is the case though. Just a thought.

I find it in bad taste for a company to try and start shit by implying bad things on a owner of another company personally. Even with proof you may have wanted to either keep it to yourself or made a press release on your site. this kiddie forum attacking just made me loose respect for yout company.

i wasnt trying to attack anybody, it wasnt my intention. i was getting kinda tired of all these people not understanding why RE made such a move and start bashing it. so i asked the people who bought out RE what went down and they said it was cool to post it up on the boards.

like i said, i didnt want to bring up anyones name.

I don't understand why people have to bash anyone? Who cares to normal consumers what Scott, RE, or his business partner do? If anyone wants to ***** about what Scott, RE, US did, get a business yourself and let us pick you apart. Scott did a wonderful thing to the audio industry. He made great products, and great prices direct to the public, and stood by that product, with service. Things you will not see in 90% of other GNP. See anyone from BFGoodrich roaming car performance boards to make sure their customers are satisfied? Heck no.

But when Scott decided to sale his half, his choice, and when his partner decided to make a change, go bankrupt, who knows, and who cares. It was his business. He can do with it what/when/how he wants. It's his business. Not mine, or anyone elses.

If anyone is upset because US now has full control, and you cannot get RE direct at the prices before, you should be thanking Scott and the RE team for what they did in the past. Don't ponder and pull up crap just to start something to bad mouth a company, past, or present.

I for one, will stand behind Scott 100%, because of the people I know that know him, and the one time (a long time ago) I met him, he was upmost professional, honest, and outgoing. Something I have met over my 19 years in car audio, he stands out in the top as far as a 'normal' guy.

IMHO, RE and any product bashing is done by sheer jealousy,heresay, closed minds, or ignorance.

Whether RE(now US owned) goes big, or bigger time, good for them, my hats off to them. But Scott has a new deal going, it was always GREAT product he made, and I think people will soon realize that. I say 'good job' to both, RE and Scotts new venture, I'm here to back both of you and wish you the best.
