2.2-2.3 same as the Alpines.. I found the issue, well my wife found it! Is this something I did? R42A and R43 are burntWhen you measure the dc resistance of the coils the way you have them wired what do you get?
Ya I figured that.. I just want to know if it was something I did or just a weak partYeah....ya might have to send that one in for repair bud
Hard to say...i know you would be the first to have a BC2000 fail so far that i know of...lol Like i said...hook it up in a buddies car if possible...see if it still acts upYa I figured that.. I just want to know if it was something I did or just a weak part
i'm just wondering why you would wire the coils like this? should be + to + - to - coil 1 , then the same on coil 2 then to the box the amp .should see .5 ohms.the way you explained what you did may have f..ed up your amp .. +to - and + to- on the same coils not right2 dual 2 ohms subs wired like this
Sub 1
Coil 1 + to Coil 2 -
Coil 1 - to Coil 2 +
Sub 2
Same as sub 1
Sub 1 coil 1+ to sub 2 coil 1 +
Sub 1 coil1 2 - to Sub 2 coil 2 -
to mono amp + and -
I couldnt find wiring diagram for this low I guess
i was just getting to that..... i saw right away that you have 1 too many wires on each sub. esentially, one of the jumpers is just shorting the speaker wires. should be = from the amp to = of one coil, and - to the other coil with a jumper between the 2 unused posts on that sub. gives you a 4 ohm load, and you repeat with the other sub. for .5ohm, you put all the + and all the - together, but never cross. i can tell you that you shorted at least one output fet. if you put an ohm meter on the transistor legs, you will likely read short on the outters on all of them (normally you shouldn't) and you can find the blown one because the center leg will be shrted, most likely. however, with it blowing fuses and not turned on, the shorted outputs also shorted the power supply fets, so that is blown, too. i would send it back, and try not to let it show signs that you opened it at all. tell them you wired it up at 2ohms total load (4ohms each sub, with the coils in series) likely they will just warrenty it no problem, if not, you know what needs to get fixedi'm just wondering why you would wire the coils like this? should be + to + - to - coil 1 , then the same on coil 2 then to the box the amp .should see .5 ohms.the way you explained what you did may have f..ed up your amp .. +to - and + to- on the same coils not right
