what ohm load for 3 dual 4 coils?

i just picked up some RD sonance 12's that are dual 4ohm voil coils. my amp is a cadence IA9(2000 X 1 @ 1ohm) from what i know i can only get a .05 ohm load from running these subs in parallel. 2 questions....

1. is my amp safe running in half ohm?

2. how do i wire my subs?

i would not run @.5 ohm on any amp but thats just me, and i doubt u have the electrica for it anyways.

i have the option of upgrading the coils for an extra 100 bucks. the coils would be 2ohm. my only concern is rms rating. with the upgrade the subs will be dual 2ohm

no i have three subs... dual 4ohm

i have the option of upgrading the coils for an extra 100 bucks. the coils would be 2ohm. my only concern is rms rating. with the upgrade the subs will be dual 2ohm wich would give me 1ohm with all three wired parallel. with the upgrade the subs would be rated at 1000 watt rms. if my amp is rated at 2000 watt rms id be curring back on power.

should i run these subs as is at 2ohm or take my chances with a .067 ohm load? or.....

spend the extra 100 bucks and upgrade the coil to dual 2ohm?

if you wire the subs in parallel you will get a .67 nominal reading but when you take the dmm to them after in the box guarantee your amp sees atleast 1 ohm....so wire it like you have it now..

Yeah with impediance rise youll probably be very close to 1ohm anyways.

Ive got 4 DVC 4ohm subs, charts say I would get a 2ohm load, multimeter shows 2.55 to the amp though after rise
