hey i have a 97 ranger ext cab

6.5" mtx 8000 components

MTX 81000D amp (1500 watts)

MTX 6152 (165 x 2)

Alpine CDA - 7998

bat cap 300

(3) JL Audio 10w6 v.2

i was wondering where i should go from here? any suggestions will be helpful

i eventually want to enter some comps... but im not sure where to go now

i guess im kinda a bass freak... i can always use some harder hitting bass

and i was wonderin about rear fill

and any little things that might make it better

rear fill: just buy some decent 6x9's (or w/e you have in the back, unless you already have them) and run then along with your front comps with a 4 channel amp.

more bass: depends on if you still want SQ too, and how much you wanna spend...

i still want SQ... but i want it to be loud!!!!!!!!

i used to have 2 mtx 8000 10's in a bandpass enclosure

and that was pretty loud

so im going for LOUD! but with that hard clean SQ hit

how much do you have to spend? if you want loud, and clear for a good price go with the adire brahma. a 10" driver is 339 shipped, and that should provide plenty of bang for you. if not, then the 12 is 369 and the 15 is 429 (if you contact jlaine from these forums, he is an authorized dealer and he ships for free) from what ive heard, these subs have the best sq/spl combo for the price.

if you have (3) JL W6V2 with 500W each and it isn't loud enough for you, then you might wanna upgrade your install first. something is wrong if it doesn't compare to those MTX subs you had. maybe cancelation problems, maybe too small a box, maybe you need to port, sound deadening, better wiring, elecrtical system upgrades, and the list goes on.......

products are 20%-30%, install is the rest. i don't know if you have ever heard of nate munson, but he likes to prove install is everything //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif . i think his best is 170.x with one DD 15" sub, something like that. look to the install, it takes more time but costs wayyyyyy less.

I agree a eq is a must...if you want more bass look below at my stuff two of those ported would give good sq plus plenty loud or if you want a lot of sq seal them and theyle still be plenty loud.//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif
