What Motor is This?

Like the title says. What motor is this.

Local audio shop is making these, but the motor looks familiar I just can't think of what it is.

That's a Pierce audio products motor, a MOAB motor to be specific.

The softparts aren't all that impressive, but a damn nice motor.

Probably. 4" Coils give the ability to handle a lot more power. They also create the need for more power to get them moving due to higher moving mass. In music, you won't be giving 10k rms anyways, so if you just put a 10k rms amp on them, they'll handle it like a champ.
