What motivates you?

I was just thinking about it this morning. What makes you want to get up every morning and put some work into whatever you are doing? Your career, a job, education, family, etc...

It might sound terrible, but truthfully my biggest motivation to finish college is money. Money is not the most important thing, but I will be able to accomplish so much more in my career if money is not one of my biggest concerns.

I dont want to tell stories to my grandchildren of someone else's life passing it as my own; To accomplish something and be someone. I dont want to look back on my life in old age and think...I should have done it different or I could have done better.

Yea everyday is a hustle for me either by getting my education in college or grindin it out makin money, i cnat see myself working forever, in the next couple of months money will not be an issue for me, money will be coming on a residule so all i do is jus touch the money and no product.

My motivation in life is to do better than all these haters to prove them wrong, so when im done i can say i did that and im finished. When i was younger my goals were small now my goals are a lot bigger and i find myself being more confident in achieving them, its like no holds bars for me, theres no limit to my success

When you are done with college life gets far less interesting. Find a job, make enough cash to get a place and cover your bases. It's nice at first..........but then what?

Settle into the routine, the rut. You will go out when you can, have some fun and make some romance. But the majority of your life will be get up, go to work, strain against infinity to smile in the face of the monotony, go home, decompress, and sleep. Clockwork in a broken machine.

Unless "work" is making music or art or really anything that indulges a true passion, you will spend most of your life struggling against misery and finding solace in whatever keeps you laughing anxiously.

Not to be a buzzkill.

But seriously, either be a workaholic who only cares about his job or only do what makes you passionate. Any other choice leaves you completely unsatisfied. Having enough money to afford things is comfortable, but you will quickly learn that comfort is the bastard son of hopelessness.

The only reason I get up is for that BIG FAT paycheck every 2 weeks..

I am gonna buy a boat this summer, I hope, so I need some $$$

But to answer this question, lately wanting to hear my freshly install system has been getting me out of bed //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Yay for an upside to the commute.

I agree with both of you. Right now though I'm in the last 3 weeks of my senior year in high school, so I'm just chillin ATM and for the summer. Next year I'll be working my *** off to get good grades in college, grades have become a lot more important to me now, at least much more than they were through high school. I may want to go to grad school after college and if I do I want to go somewhere better than where I'm going to college. Not that it's a bad school, it's very good for what I'm majoring but I want to do very well there to keep my options open.

But guys thats why we all need something for ourselves instead of working for someone guys, thats how i feel, i wont be working for someone for the rest of my life. i got to have my own shit and thats how everyone should think if you dont want the same routine everyday. U got to think of a way to make money while your sleep. Thats what i do and im in the process of getting the business started, Dont be stuck in the slave mentality of working for someone. Everyone on this forum has a talent so use it and use it well

whats wrong with working for someone else when you clear 150k a year? less headaches, less stress, let someone else worry about the business, just show up, do your thing, and let them write you checks.

Personally im taking he college thing slow. I figure the more i learn the better i will be in the future. i dont take a full load, i use to stress myself of graduating on time but i dont focus on that i jus focus on obtaining as much knowledge as possible. I got to pay for school im not as fortunate as a lot of people and its no way easy

But figure ur on a schedule, usually monday through friday 8-10 hours a day, wouldnt u rather make ur own schedule than working the mandatory. i didnt say it was something wrong with it jus thought it would be better to do ur own thing. Ive worked since i was a freshman in high school and ive seen how people are treated and handled, that shits not cool sometimes
