The tee-ball saga continues

So most of you know I'm coaching a tee ball team. Well today I flew off the handle. You see, I'm a very competitive person and I hate losing. So today there was a close play at 3rd base, but the runner on the other team was out by half a step. So some parent on the other team starts running his mouth that the player is safe, and I say no he is out. Then the parent keeps on running his mouth, so I let it all fly. Told that ****er that the kid that was up to bat got 5 strikes and there shouldn't have been a play at 3rd base to begin with. So that shut the guy up. Then the next inning, they didn't count one of our runs that scored. So I told the guy keeping score (which also happens to be the guy that runs the program) that the score is wrong, and he says no it isn't. So I tell him well I'll go up there and show you. So I go up there and sure enough, he didn't count our last run. The kid was on 3rd base when my last batter was up and he scored on the hit by the last batter. The guy sits there and argues with me, the scorebook was showing that the kid that scored only reached 1st base. So I call the kid out and ask him what base was he on when our last batter was up to bat, and of course he says 3rd. The guy still didn't want to believe me so I said whatever it's just a game. Went back to the field and he ended up changing the score like it was supposed to be. We played another inning and ended up winning by one run...17-16

Wazzup, long-lost?

Possibly someone with temper issues stemming from an overly competitive nature shouldn't be coaching small children???

Just an idea...

Who said I had a temper? If we lose, we lose, but we aren't going to lose a game because somebody can't keep score. Hell, this guy that runs the program doesn't even know half the rules of the game. He lines the field everyday we have a game, he places the line in the middle of the base, where half of first base is in fair territory and half is in foul territory. All you have to do is watch an MLB game and you can figure out that the base is considered fair territory thus the line should be at the edge of the base. He's also made a few other stupid calls, but I usually don't say anything.

Wow at getting mad in a teaball game. I mean if you are that competitive then I would suggest coaching some older kids. I am with prowler on that one.

Also we were the same when I would help coach my dads teaball team back in the day. We never keep score, everyone would bat and learn the fundamentals of the game. Just teach them and have some fun with it.

Also I recall another thread you made about you felt bad for the one team you were playing so you let them catch up or something. I cant remember, but I am gonna go look it up. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif
