None of the above. What makes you have bass (or the rest of the audible frequency range for that matter) is the skills to make whatever equipment you use sound it's best. Placement , proper enclosure build , proper wiring , and proper gain adjustments. Anyone can buy stuff and hook it up , but it takes a little common sense to set it up and make it sound good. Now i just wanna get this thing straight. Is it the watts(rms) that make the speakers loud(bass) or is it the size?
its a combination of a multiple things that make a system loud....it doesn't necessary mean the size of the subs ...I've had 8's that sounded better than some peoples 15's....installation and quality products is the key to a good sounding system with plenty of bass.....Now i just wanna get this thing straight. Is it the watts(rms) that make the speakers loud(bass) or is it the size?
1000-1500 watt ampwhy are you debating this? get a new amp already. yes that amp you have is good, but it's not the best amp to combine with those subs. if those subs were dvc 2ohms then yeah it'd be perfect. getting louder has to do with doing everything. you already got the box you need (i seen from ram sent ya). next step is being able to feed those subs by getting a 1200-1500rms @1ohm amp. make sure to do your big 3. then there's sound deadning you can do. unless you wanna get 2-3 times as loud as you are now, then i'd look at gettin new subs. but if you do that, then i'd look at even a bigger amp. how much more are you wanting?
