When I'm driving around it will drop from 13.8 to 13.0v at full tilt and then it jumps back up to ~13.5 right after. I can't play it full tilt while idling because my voltage will drop below 12.0v. Once I get my bandpass built I'll be able to turn down the amp a little bit though which will be nice

why turn down the amp? if you're building a more efficient box might as well make it louder not just as loud

I don't think you know how efficient the bandpass I'm making is gonna be lol.

i dont care if its 3 cubes and 10 cubes lol. why run less power if you want loud? just makes no sense but carry on

Because the sub is almost hitting mechanical limits at the moment at full tilt (if I have the window open).

im guessing you're not doing a 4th. that makes more sense now lol...

I would do a 6th but without knowing any of the specs on the sub I really don't want to be guessing about how the box should look like. If I had cash I would build a couple boxes and see if I like them, but since I don't I'm just gonna make a 4th.

Yeah Im buying one ASAP.

Im thinking of going bigger. My car is so bad, that even with my system off, when I turn the A/C or the headlights on, the idle goes down at least 200 RPM, then comes back up. lol

Im just trying to decide where to get one. Leaning towards excessive amperage. Its really hard to drop 400$~ though =\

better than frying a 600-700 dollar amp. Lol. Keep an eye out in the classifieds etc.. find a good deal on one, even if you have to fab a bracket to make it work. You can save a pretty good chunk that way.

Yeah Ive seen loads of alts, Im just not sure if I could make them fit.

Im willing to fab/machine/do whatever it takes to bolt it up, but the issue is how small (physical size wise) my car and my stock alt is.
