What kind of SPL could I expect from this system?

The cabin will affect the overall response curve as a whole. When designing an enclosure for a flat response you have to your best to work around nulls and gains of the cabin.

As for SPL...you never know and there is no way to guess.

I really enjoy frequencies between 25 to 45hz if I can get them loud enough. I wish I could just change tuning whenever I wanted to see the difference but I'm pretty happy with how it turned out.

Well it's doing great so far, had it in the car close to a week, here's a better picture of what it looks like completed/modelled but I'd have to take a photo of it in the car to give a better idea.

Only been able to give it 400watts rms due to my crap battery, soon enough I'll be getting an AGM deep cycle and pushing 1000watts, I have a wet cell starter battery now, not really made for audio lol.

I will not even begin to estimate SPL...How much port area do you have for each port?..it just looks small.

18"sq approx. I was very limited on space for this, so I had to make the ports as small as I could (without causing resonance or port speed issues) as to maximise internal volume.

They do look a bit skinny. I also don't like the missing section of wood there by the ports.
which missing section? The back and side were taken off in the model to show the internals clearly. If you're referring to the end of the ports where the final corner is, I smoothed it out with sealant so it's more rounded internally and not all sharp edges as to avoid pressure build up at that point.

I was talking about the left and right sides where you cut the top piece short.
What is the netft3 per chamber? I think you are pretty small on port area though.
all 3 chambers are identical for the most part so I'm not sure what you mean by cutting the top piece short on the left and right sides.

Any chance you could highlight what you mean? circle it in paint or something lol

The top piece to me is the rectangle over the ports and it doesn't seem short to me.

about 1.8cf per chamber.

edit: ah right i think i know what you mean, where the circles for the subs are very close to the edges on the front. Yeah I was very limited on space so it was a pain to fit 3 12"s on it.

with tuning that low and going port back in a hatch you may very well have issues with your response curve being too low, possibly too low for the subs depending on what exactly they are,

with my little car and my 8's enclosure its tuned to 37 but the effective tuning once its in the car is closer to 30...

i thought cabin gain tended towards increasing frequencies closer to 50-60hz and therefore increasing tuning freq. Going lower isn't much of a problem for me, I used to have one of these tuned to 25hz before, port back as well and I was pretty happy with the response I was getting, I'm not an audiophile though nor do I have much experience with car audio apart from the last 6 months or so.

I would be interested to see how this sits in your car. Phoenix may be right with his thoughts.
Ah ok I get it, didn't think it would make much of a difference. When I get up in the morning (it's 1:30AM for me right now) or sometime during the day I'll take a photo and post it on here so you can have a look and let me know if you think "lower tuning" may be an issue here as well.

I pmd pro-rabbit about it but i'd like your opinion as well

here is how the box sits in the car, i can send you more photos if you need them but this gives a pretty good idea
