Yeah it is REALLY thick. no way a razor blade will cut through it.

I forgot to mention they drove my car too. When I got it back, I was missing 1\8 of my tank, and had some extra miles. The car also smelt of chinese food. BASTARDS. When I started her up, and started to drive, the car was jerking between 1st and 2nd, but it eventually leveled out. They must have hitten the gas pretty hard in my Monte... I'm so pissed.

I could probably run it, but it's not a short drive for you. Depending on how hard it'd be to run the wire, I could probably run it for $25. Been busy as hell lately, so sorry, can't do it for free. I've got to rewire my setup too.

PM me. We aren't close, though, looks like at least half an hour drive. LMK

They don't have a unibit?!?!?! ROFL...
What year/make/model vehicle?

nG
Its a 2003 Chevrolet Monte Carlo SS

and if CC doesnt work out on sat, or they screw it up, I have the name and address of a guy by me who does fiberglass, custom boxes, and installs who'll do it\fix it, give me a bill I can take back to CC and have them give me a refund. Thanks though for those who offered to help. The car is goin into STS soon also because somethin is leakin onto the transmission... //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/verymad.gif.3f39c5c2fd57527b671fad3efdfac756.gif//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/furious.gif.fc81ca146dbff91fede3ed290dbc4f4c.gif

used to live in NJ, by don do u mean the guy that manages what of the auto lenders stores? I know they do good work, they put an entirely new center console in a lexus es300 my dad had, it was flawless....other than that, there are a couple decent car audio shops in/around brick township, where exactly in NJ do u live?

I live in Roxbury, Morris County... kinda a far drive to get to brick, normally hour 1\2. like I said, I already paid, so we'll see how saturday goes, if they screw around again, I'll hit him up.

well they did the install, and the guy who did it actually knew what he was doing. I was surprised he had knowledge of the equipment, and researched what he didnt know. He ran the 0\1 guage, and installed a distro block for me. He even set the gains correctly, so I'm pretty happy. They guy also had enough sense to run the power cable on the opposite side as the factory wires for the stereo. All in all, the install turned out pretty good, and THESE THINGS POUND!!! I can only imagine what they sound like with a new HU and equalizer...

Wow...just wow.
Well, at least they didnt try to run it through the door-jam //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wow.gif.23d729408e9177caa2a0ed6a2ba6588e.gif

$9 for 3 of em at harbor freight right now:D

Doesnt have the tools to drill though a rubber gromit in the firewall to install a 0\1 guage cable? The shop called me today and began to give me the run around...
-Yeah, you bought a 0\1 guage kit, its too big. You need to buy a 4 guage kit.

-I gave you a reducer to use at the amp, it'll work fine.

-Well, we cant get it though the firewall...

-Where did you try to get it through? Passengers or drivers side?

-We tried both

-On the passengers side, there is a rubber gromet which has the existing wiring running through, it has ample room to drill another hole and run that cable through.

-Well, we dont have a drill bit large enough. You need to buy 4 guage.

-So you're telling me no one there has a drill bit large enough to drill a hole through rubber for the cable?

-Well, you can bring it back on saturday, someone else might have one...

FVCKING IDIOTS!!!!

this is the Circuit City in Ledgewood NJ, there really isnt anywhere else to get it installed around here, and its only like 10 minutes from me, so I figured I'd let them try. I payed for the install already too, only cost 40 after I used my giftcards...

They're trying to install my JBL\Crown BPX1100.1 and my W10GTi MKII's, I didnt have the tools needed to do it myself, otherwise it'd me done already.
Circuit City mobile electronics has gone dow nthe shitter a TON in the last year. They fired off all the managers, and most of the installers left with them(i know i did). Tools are provided by the store, and most stores have dick for tools. So truthfully they probably aren't bull shitting you.
