What kind of paint? help

16" wires is on it now gold and chrome daytons, wit a burgandy paint wit a white top thats in need of a serious candy painted job

I had a friend that had a Caprice that was candy brandywine over a charcoal base. He had a peanut butter top and center gold 13" Daytons. Looked sweet.

actually no im not going to try to paint it because i know its along process to painting candy and u have to have experince wit painting in which i dont have, im thinking about going and taking classes on painting cars, im real interested in learning.

i know a guy who paints candy for 1500 dollars

For that price I would do it. I wouldnt do a candy for that price. It is a lot of work and it is many processes and stages of how the paint is applied. Especially if you want the whole flake/pattern thing. If that guy will do Brandywine for $1500 take it, the supplies alone would probably cost that much, especially Brandywine.

im thinking a straight brandywine paint jus drippin off the frame will be fine for me, maybe jus a few ghost pinstripes or something still up in the air

oh yea on the audio side we have 4 6x9's inthe rear deck, they need to be replaced, we got a 400 watt jensen runnin them we did this back in 99 it gets crazy loud

I have always just liked straight candy, When I painted my truck I did candy cobalt blue over an orion silver basecoat, about 2 gallons of clear, it looked wet all the time. What color base you going with?

It all depends, if you want bright candy, or a darker look. I like the way it looked on charcoal base. It looked like a deep bloody red, but when the sun hit, it looked fu***n sweet. At night at almost looked black, unless the light hit it. If you just want a bright candy, go with a silver base coat.

i dont want it a bright red, i want to stay closer to burgundy but shine real hard may consider charcoal base coat, imma get u a pic of what im talkin bout here.

With the charcoal it will look burgandy, but will have the depth of candy, if applied right. Make sure they use good clear and enough of it, to give you the deep, wet look you want.
