What kind of Amp do I need?

My dad gave me two, 12 inch subs for a gift. Well, they say JBL on the front of the speaker things, but nothing else on the whole box. I was just wondering what power Amp I should get and what not so I can hook these things up in my blazer for a really loud "Boom". Please help, and thanks!

your going to need to carefully remove the mounting screws and pull the woofer to find out rms wattage and voice coil configuration only then can you decide on an amp.

If not you're gonna need a mono amp and about a 4 gauge amp kit to start with. Also be helpful to know what head unit you're using and are the subs in an enclosure already. Not real sure with the way you worded that.

They are in a box, with like some cage over top of each speaker. I will try and post a picture later, but anything you can say about it with what I've told you already?
