WHAT kind of amp do i need for these subs!! (cheapest possible amp) that will push em

ok then he should just keep one hx2 sub and sell the other and the jbl amp and use that money to buy a nice 500w mono amp and have some extra cash in his pocket.
That would be a great idea.

I was thinking even some Kicker Comps. Their 50 bucks each on woofers and they will do fine in about 1.2 sealed. And they have a good output with only 150-200 rms each. That would leave like 70 for the box too, considering a amp that does 300ish won't run him too much.

I figure he was lookin' and Volf, so anything we suggest, no matter how cheap (in our definition of cheap) will be better.

yes, with my idea he dont have to spend anything really, just sell couple things and will have money left over.

Completely agree.

Let's see, his enclosure recommendations on those punch's are....

Sealed Box Volume (cubic feet) 0.8 - 4

Ported Box Volume (cubic feet) 1.75 - 4

So he could probably do a hefty sealed or a smaller ported and get a great output!

I've got zero experience with RF subs, what do they like? biggest recommended enclosures?

I imagine with 2 cubes sealed he will ahve a great output. And it would be a much simpler box to find/build.

So with a 500@4 amp and that box he would do great. I imagine a hifonics amp would be a good budget amp for that.

Man, I wouldn't mind that set up myself, it's decent lol.

Edit maybe those are DVC 4's so 500@2

sounds like a plain..hope he agreez..sweet setup!

nah does a 143 on tl in a caviler, but probably not in his budget...mabe if he looks around on here he might
Is this a daily setup that you can play music with? 3.5 cubes is huge for two eights with that much power.

he would be fine with about 1.2-1.5 sealed on one of those rf's. if his sub is dual 4ohm which is most common for that sub, then he would need a amp that does 500@2ohms.

just saw your edit lol.

im so confused.. i dont understand the watts by ohms and stuff like that...

so right now im thinking about buying two volf 10's 1000 watt each.. or a kicker L7 12" with amp.. and putting the kicker just sitting it in my back seat in the middle ya know? the 10s would go in the trunk.. what do u think i should do? the kicker L7 and amp i can buy for 200 from a friend which seems like a great deal.. or im getting those 10's for 50 dollars! and have to buy an amp

The L7 in a proper box would be big, but your best bet. Forget those 50 dollar pieces of shit. And dont just rest the box on your back seat. Aesthetically speaking, it would be a nightmare. You'd also lose function of your back seat. So I wouldnt do it. There are other options that a 12 on the seat.

STOP BEING CHEAP! Shop around! lol your friends and volfenhag whatever shops arent the only places to get good deals.

Seriously. What is your budget? $200? Thats fine but keep in mind, you'll get what you pay for.

oh and no my car is not factory :pi have a sTI turbo and intercooler, tien suspension, exaust, and blow off valve, and some other stuff
BOV was a bad idea... stock is a recirculating system.... BOV is atmosheric.. messes w/the ECU for air/fuel ratio

Vofenhag is an even worse idea

PS... I rally my WRX //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif.. don't insult a WRX with Volfencrap or a sub in the back seat... how could you possibly be that big of a tool
