The Six Million Boosters Man

Electrical Prescriptions (ElectRx)
The ElectRx program aims to help the human body heal itself through neuromodulation of organ functions using ultraminiaturized devices, approximately the size of individual nerve fibers, which could be delivered through minimally invasive injection.”

Neural Engineering System Design (NESD)
The NESD program aims to develop an implantable neural interface able to provide unprecedented signal resolution and data-transfer bandwidth between the brain and the digital world.”

Next-Generation Nonsurgical Neurotechnology (N3)
The N3 program aims to develop a safe, portable neural interface system capable of reading from and writing to multiple points in the brain at once. Whereas the most advanced existing neurotechnology requires surgical implantation of electrodes, N3 is pursuing high-resolution technology that works without the requirement for surgery so that it can be used by able-bodied people.”

I'm down.

"DARPA’s new Atomic Magnetometer for Biological Imaging In Earth’s Native Terrain (AMBIIENT) program is all about ushering magnetic field sensing into a new era in which MEGs, MCGs, and an assortment of other wish-list magnetic field sensing techniques become practical realities for a wide range of applications. Potentially on the horizon, for example, are sensor systems for detecting spinal signals, diagnosing concussions, and brain-machine interfaces (BMIs) for such uses as controlling prosthetic limbs and external machines via the subtle magnetic signals associated with thought."

So it's heading downwards to want to prevent my mental, neurological and physical decay? But didn't you just say suffering those things aren't the key to "moving up?" Very confusing.
My bad. Suffering is part of moving up, but naturally so. There’s nothing unnatural you have to do. Everyone suffers no matter what; that’s the consequence of having free will across the board. The trick is how you do or don’t deal with your suffering and learning lessons from those. Living in fear of natural processes is how you get trapped.

How is not wanting to age living in fear?

So, then, why would you want to become transhuman, if you don’t fear aging, losing your body’s functioning, and/or ultimately dying?
Because snowboarding, mountain biking, etc was way more fun when I was at my physical peak. I' am/was an adrenaline junkie, so I had a few "near death" experiences and I never felt fear during those experiences; more like resignation.
