Because snowboarding, mountain biking, etc was way more fun when I was at my physical peak. I' am/was an adrenaline junkie, so I had a few "near death" experiences and I never felt fear during those experiences; more like resignation.
So, you can’t accept that life changes in ways that you don’t want to be changed?

How do you know you’ll only ever have 1 body?
I don't. But I do know for sure that I have this 1 body and I don't know if there are other bodies awaiting me. What if my next go around, I'm stuck in the desert; that would really f'up my snowboarding. As they say, "One in the hand is worth 2 in the bush."

They also say ignorance is bliss. Why not study the ancients?

But which ancients were right? Many ancient religions think death is a miserable existence. Christians think my afterlife outcome is variable depending on my input. Trey Parker and Matt Stone think the Mormons got it right and Mormans will spend eternity in "Mormon" bliss. Unfortunately, I think the technological solution to my problem won't be available to me before I bid this world farewell, but if it does become available, then I'm all in.

You have to start to figure it for yourself. There’s only the truth, and one must seek it to find it. If you study ancient Egypt, for example, you’ll learn the “gods” there had electricity and electrical technology, because it’s literally right there carved in stone. How humanity became on Earth and most of history of Earth and humanity is forgetten. Myths are only myths, because humans were describing history of what happened to them that they couldn’t understand, so they tried their best with what language and limited understanding they had and still have, so humans were just trying to describe what they were experiencing. The truth is out there, Jim, and the internet is artificial telepathy, so use it to figure all this out, but don’t become transhuman; it’s a trap of apocalyptic proportions.

The Six Million Boosters Man

Electrical Prescriptions (ElectRx)
The ElectRx program aims to help the human body heal itself through neuromodulation of organ functions using ultraminiaturized devices, approximately the size of individual nerve fibers, which could be delivered through minimally invasive injection.”

Neural Engineering System Design (NESD)
The NESD program aims to develop an implantable neural interface able to provide unprecedented signal resolution and data-transfer bandwidth between the brain and the digital world.”

Next-Generation Nonsurgical Neurotechnology (N3)
The N3 program aims to develop a safe, portable neural interface system capable of reading from and writing to multiple points in the brain at once. Whereas the most advanced existing neurotechnology requires surgical implantation of electrodes, N3 is pursuing high-resolution technology that works without the requirement for surgery so that it can be used by able-bodied people.”

“COVID-19 vaccines are widely available in the United States. They protect people from getting infected and severely ill, and they significantly reduce the likelihood of hospitalization and death.”

“Accordingly, building on these actions, and in light of the public health guidance regarding the most effective and necessary defenses against COVID-19, I have determined that to promote the health and safety of the Federal workforce and the efficiency of the civil service, it is necessary to require COVID-19 vaccination for all Federal employees, subject to such exceptions as required by law.

Sec. 2. Mandatory Coronavirus Disease 2019 Vaccination for Federal Employees. Each agency shall implement, to the extent consistent with applicable law, a program to require COVID-19 vaccination for all of its Federal employees, with exceptions only as required by law.”
