Except when the law says you any do it, which current anti-discrimination laws do. Why judges make rulings that are contrary to law, and why those rulings are upheld, is beyond me. Might as well not have the law.
Just because a company is publicly traded, does not mean publicly owned. As a shareholder in BP, I don’t get to decide whether they will build a gas station in my city or not, or who they are going to hire to work for the company.

If we are going to have laws in place to please the Christian god, then why not laws in place to please the Muslim god?
Imagine if they said tomorrow that all women in the US must wear a burqa to please the Muslim god.
The religious right would go apeshit. Yet, they have no problem with anti-gay laws to please their Christian god.
