Nope it wasn’t illegal and the comparison is very valid. Why you may ask? Cause the parents broke the law and were arrested and charged for it, just like if An American citizen breaks the law and is charged for a crime and taken into custody. It’s called illegal entry for a reason, it’s cause it’s illegal duh 🤣. The issue is they didn’t care about putting their kids in that situation, are we suppose to bend over backwards and ignore the law due to feelings? Again if that’s the case, all parents who are American citizens should never go to jail again 🤷🏼‍♂️.
I'm sure you are better versed than Georgetown Law on the subject. So, can you explain their confusion that would cause them to say something like this: "To the contrary, domestic and international law militates strongly against the lawfulness of family separation as a tool for immigration deterrence, yielding liability for the state and for individuals who implement family separation in this setting"?

Can you also explain the SCOTUS's confusion in granting an injunction to prevent the separation of families crossing the border illegally?
Don’t play stupid, I have no clue why biden put the idea of paying these people money. Was it cause he wanted the virtue like every leftist craves? Is it cause the people around him said “ hey all of our followers who don’t know what a woman is would love to see you do this cause it makes you look like you care about these poor people more than anyone else”? Was it a way for his family to get more kick backs and line their pockets? Was it another way for him to buy votes? You would have to ask biden yourself and those who pull his strings to get that answer 🤷🏼‍♂️.
By arguing this, you are suggesting you have knowledge of what was going on. You specifically discussed the ACLU, who spearheaded the lawsuit regarding the family separation lawsuits.

I know people like to see a meme, Tweet, or a spashline of things that are happening and run with it if it supports their narrative, but did you know that the meme/Tweet/splashline is deceptive and makes you look dumb for repeating it?
If you truly believe Biden suggested we pay every illegal immigrant $450,000 for coming here, then you are too gullible to have a right to vote.

Here's the real story about that whole $450,000 payout thing:
"settlements of "around $450,000 a person" to resolve lawsuits filed on behalf of parents and children that were separated at the border during the Trump administration"
Illegally separated.
Like it or not, lawsuits and settlements are those things that can happen when the government knowingly breaks the law in its treatment of people.

Wow you are blind... and stupid.

So Trump had a weak stance on illegals crossing the border so much that he was building a physical wall to keep them out while on the other hand I suppose you think Biden is strong on the border while he tears down the wall and invites millions over the border.

You really are stupid. Just, dumb Rob.
Given the illegal crossings only rose by 4% under Biden, but the apprehensions/encounters rose by 400%, it's obvious that Trump was weak on it.
If he was so tough, why did the border crisis start during his presidency, and why was Biden able to increase apprehensions/encounters fourfold when crossings only went up 4%?
If it's that easy to kick up the apprehensions/encounters, why didn't Trump do it?

Legit questions looking for legit answers.

The border has always been a problem, even before Trump. It's good that you keep mentioning his name though.
Well, when you blame Biden for a border crisis that started under Trump, of COURSE Trump's name is going to come up.
Does it hurt your feelings for his name to be brought up for a problem that started under his watch, but you desperately wnat to blame on Biden purely out of your hatred for him?

lol at people who think the border problem started under trump. That just shows the level of willful ignorance people in this country have. The border problem started under Clinton in 1994 when he closed the border. Before 1994, Mexicans had no reason to jump the border because they could work here but still live in Mexico with free travel to and from. If smart people like Rob would educate themselves somewhere other than social media, that would be great……

We're talking about what is being called "The Border Crisis" or "Biden's Border Crisis", and being incorrectly attributed to Biden, not the problems of illegal immigration in general.

If smart people like you would educate themselves on what the topic s of discussion are, that would be great...

"It may seem ironic, but even as it carried out the cruelest anti-migration policies in decades, the Trump administration presided over the largest flows of migration at the U.S.-Mexico border since the mid-2000s.
This continued through Donald Trump’s last months in office, which saw migration rise sharply even as stringent pandemic measures made the pursuit of asylum impossible. This shows the futility of declaring war on asylum, and the inevitability of large migration flows at a time of overlapping security, economic, political, public health, and climate crises.

The jump in migration of Trump’s final months continued accelerating during Joe Biden’s first two months in office. This is happening even as Biden’s Department of Homeland Security (DHS) keeps in place “Title 42,” a probably illegal Trump-era pandemic provision that expels most migrants within hours, regardless of their protection needs."

The Clinton deal - Isn't that something that Republicans would be praising Trump to the heavens for if he had implemented it?
The short of what it did:
"More people became eligible for deportation
It got easier to deport people
It got a lot harder for unauthorized immigrants to "get legal." "
And wasn't the bill actually pushed by the Republican-majority, and not the brainchild of Clinton?

What law states it’s against the law to arrest someone for crossing the border illegally if they have children 🤔. It sounds to me it’s their legal theory on the subject. If you can show me this law I’d be happy to read it.

I never seen a case the Supreme Court ruled on this. Can you show me? I know a california court did and I’m aware that federal courts gave the government time to reunite them.

And yes, if you read what I originally sent, it says it was due to a lawsuit. To try and even settle that before even going to court for that kind of money is stupid.

I don’t care about memes, don’t care about Twitter or any other social media as I don’t even have it. What I do care about is the amount of tax money that is going to people that don’t even belong here in the first place. The good news is being someone who lives in NY, even the democrats wake up after it affects them directly. NY state has already paid $10 billion over this and mayor has finally said enough is enough.

The law referenced in the preliminary injunction against the practice.
I will save you, Thxone, YourNameHere, and others from tryin to claim I am making shit up, and just give you the link to the full timeline so you can read it yourself. Search for the word "injunction" within the text.

Troxil v. Granville

Biden wasn't offering the $450K for all illegal immigrants coming here, it was part of the lawsuit settlement requests for the illegal separation of family units.

NY state paid $10 billion for the families who were illegally split up after caught entering the country?
The lawsuit involved ~2,600 kids and their parents. At two parents per kid, that's 7,800 people. Even at $450k a pop, that $3.5 billion. Why is NY state paying $10 billion for a federal lawsuit?

I live on the border. Everyone here knows more people are coming. We drive through the closed check points all the time because all the agents are busy at the border. Never happened before. We see the influx of migrants in our communities greater than ever before. The extra homeless. The food banks cant keep up. Etc. etc. I’m not sure what people see on the news or find on google, but it’s actually real life down here, not just google numbers someone pulls up to win a pointless internet argument. Prior to 94 we didn’t have a massive border patrol presence. It wasn’t necessary. INS was e enforcing immigration laws a different way. It was better with a much more open border to travel back and forth back then. We used to go over to Nogales Mexico just to have lunch without any paperwork to cross. Now it is much more restricted. All this blame Trump and Blame Biden BS is just misinformation wrapped in a political burrito. Both of their policies stink like rotten fish tacos.

I’m not sure the focus of the rant, but if everyone knows the numbers, why are the numbers wrong?
Have they always been wrong, or just when it comes to the rise that began under Trump?
Where you live in the border, was there no change/increase in illegal immigration until Biden took office?

I live on the Arizona/Mexico border. Yuma is literally begging for Biden to declare a federal emergency. You can find the news stories everywhere. Is the Democrat mayor of Yuma AZ a liar? It’s “worse than ever before” according to him.

How can your statements be my assumptions?
That would be suggesting you believe I make your posts for you.

Given your paranoid delusions that Trump’s public admissions are faked and that the events of Jan 6th never happened, it wouldn’t surprise me you’d believe that.

And nice job on managing again to completely avoid backing up any of your bullshit you spew.
A whole lot more of “because Thxone says so”.
When you tell me how I feel or tell me what I think or you jump into your "well you said this so that means you also think this" crap. Those are ALL ASSUMPTIONS that YOU are making then you try to make me answer to them. Like I said, you are stupid.

1.7 million apprehensions in 2021 and 2.4 million in 2022. Both years the highest on record by far. Are we all just liars down here?

What do you think that 400% "Apprehension/Encounters" is? Where did those 400% go? Are you claiming they entered this country LEGALLY?

Do you really believe these statements Rob or are you just trolling? I mean do you legit believe these statements?

TF are you talking about? Go learn what the terms are referencing before you comment on them. You very obviously don’t know what they mean.

I tend to believe facts. The statistics prove it, kid. They were reporting on it happening when he was in office, and immediately after.
Lemme guess: Because I didn’t count the people myself, it must be faked numbers by Border Patrol to make Trump look bad…

“Border Patrol recorded 41 percent more successful illegal entries in fiscal year 2019 than in 2016 and was on pace for 47 percent more through four months of 2020. As he left office in January, reports indicate that the numbers have reached even greater heights.”
