What you are doing is playing with numbers to attempt to be right. The problem is Manhattan is part of NYC, The actual metro area. You're trying to segregate Manhattan to inflate the density number. Using numbers nefariously just like YOUR averages.View attachment 51245
His logic being that if the most densely populated city in America has less than 29,000 people per square mile, it’s not possible to have 1.7 million people in a 22 mi.² area.
If he doesn’t know the difference between a city, landmass, metro, a county or state, that’s his problem. He shouldn’t argue what he doesn’t understand.
